Happy Thanksgiving! I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a safe and healthy break from school. I am thankful for all of my students that are taking this journey with me. Remote learning is not easy and sometimes not fun, but your willingness to log into Zoom each morning and be ready to participate does not go unnoticed. The second quarter has already begun and we are going to continue to learn the fundamentals of television and film making until we get the chance to practice these skills safely in the TV studio.
In this newsletter, I want to share the some of the successes from quarter one. We still going to explore applications provided in the Adobe Creative Cloud and WeVideo while creating projects for the rest of the semester. It is my goal to keep TV a FUN creative outlet. Happy Thanksgiving! Mr. Geresy GPS Talk - Advanced TV ProductionThis semester we have restarted our GPS Talk interview program, but in a virtual setting. Advanced students collaborated and produced these interview segments with a guest of their choice. We used an online program called Streamyard to bring our interviewers and guest into the same virtual space. Thank you to all of our guest for appearing on our show. Click Here or the banner above to view the segments.
Student Spotlight - TV 1 & Adobe PremiereDespite being remote, we still have managed to CREATE! Below are some select projects from TV Production 1 (5th-7th Hour). All the projects were edited with an online editor we purchased for all TV students through CTE funds called WeVideo. The projects are: Fun with Green Screen, Sound Editing and My Microscopic World.
Advanced video students have been learning the Adobe Premiere Pro editing program. Premiere Pro is used professionally in the television and film industry. We have been creating smaller projects to learn editing fundamentals.
Learning labs = GPTV NewsTV Production has had two opportunities to produce episodes of our GPTV News broadcast during our Learning Labs. In addition to the news, we also discussed podcasting, had a guest speaker Cameron Freeman and explored areas of Adobe Premiere and WeVideo.
