The Digital Media LabThere has been a television studio at Grosse Pointe South since the late 1980's located in the basement of the IA building prior to the new athletic building. The TV Studio made the move to our current location in the main building in May 2007. Since most of what we do today is digital, we are now called the Digital Media Lab
The StudioThe TV Studio contains three JVC 850 studio cameras, three telepromters, a full lighting grid, and multiple sets. Intercoms are used to communicate between the studio and the control room. GPTV News is recorded in studio daily and playback for the school at the top of third hour.

InstructorMy Name is Steve Geresy. I was lucky to find my passion for video production while in high school. I caught the video bug at the age of fifteen when the junior varsity basketball coach offered me the opportunity to videotape all of the games, only after cutting me from the team. This was a blessing in disguise.
For two decades, I have been producing video products for a variety of organizations and for individuals. I also constantly keep a personal archive of video and digital images for my family to enjoy. I hold degrees in Video Communications and Education from Madonna University in Livonia and a Masters of Instructional Technology through Walden University. I have produced documentaries and various video projects for organizations and educational institutions in the Detroit area. While enjoying my passion for video I was able to incorporate my passion for working with young people. I am a high school video and television teacher and have been for the last eighteen years. I am grateful for the opportunity to help over 3000 high school students become storytellers. I believe the skills of communicating can cross over to any career paths my students decide to take.
