Creating a Documentary
A documentary is a weaving of soundbite interviews, voiceover and b-roll. The film usually has a theme. Topics can vary based on person, event, business, service, or idea. Past topics: Edsel Ford House, The Carhart company, Slow Jam Company, Bert's Jazz Club.
Requirements:
- Signed up on Project Signup – No more than 4 members
- Must be no more than 5 minutes before credits
- The film must have a beginning, middle, and end. It is possible!! Follow a characters journey!
- Technical requirements: Make sure lighting and sound are good. Use a microphone if dialogue is used
- Must utilize a digital tools – Osmo, GoPro, or Drone
- Make sure to appropriate locations to tell your story. Multiple angles. Your video most likely will not be told in one shot and angle. Use wide, medium, medium close-up, close-up, extreme close-up, POV, and high/low angles
- Use WeVideo for background music
- Include end credits to the production
- Finish VIDEO and Submit to Schoology
- Any editing program can be used for editing
